The Federal University Dutse (FUD) Admission List for the 2026/2027 academic session is one of the most important updates for candidates who applied to study at the university.
Candidates who participated in the FUD admission process should regularly check their admission status through the official FUD admission portal and JAMB CAPS. This is because admission information can be updated in stages, and an individual candidate’s admission status may be available online even when a complete public list of names is not yet available.
Federal University Dutse is located in Dutse, Jigawa State, and offers undergraduate programmes across several academic areas, including Computing, Agriculture, Education, Management Sciences, Arts and Social Sciences, and medical-related programmes. The university’s official website provides an admission portal and directs prospective students to official admission services.
This article explains the latest information about the FUD Admission List 2026/2027, how to check your admission status, how to use JAMB CAPS, what to do after receiving admission, and what to do if your status still says “Not Admitted.”
Is FUD Admission List for 2026/2027 Out?
The 2026/2027 admission process at Federal University Dutse is ongoing.
FUD’s official Post-UTME/Direct Entry portal currently provides instructions for the 2026/2027 academic session. The portal states that online screening registration commenced on 7 July 2026 and is scheduled to run until 30 September 2026. Candidates are required to provide their UTME/DE registration details, update their biodata, upload their O’Level or applicable A’Level results and complete the screening requirements.
The official FUD website also provides an “Admission Status” service through its admissions/student portal.
However, candidates should distinguish between an active admission exercise, an individual admission status and the publication of a complete downloadable admission-name list.
At the time of this update, a complete official 2026/2027 undergraduate admission-name list containing all admitted candidates could not be independently verified on the public FUD pages checked.
Therefore, candidates should check their individual admission status directly through FUD and JAMB CAPS rather than relying on unofficial lists circulating on social media.
FUD Admission List 2026/2027 Latest Update
The latest official information confirms that FUD is processing admissions for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The university’s 2026/2027 screening portal gives candidates access to the admission process and requires eligible applicants to complete their screening information.
FUD’s main website also includes an official Admission Portal and an option to Check Admission Status, making the university’s online platforms the appropriate places to monitor admission developments.
Candidates should therefore keep checking for updates rather than assuming that their admission has been unsuccessful simply because their status has not changed yet.
How to Check FUD Admission List 2026/2027
Candidates can check their admission status through the official Federal University Dutse admission portal.
Follow these steps:
- Visit the official FUD website.
- Open the Admission Portal or admission-status section.
- Select the option for checking admission status.
- Enter your required JAMB or application details.
- Submit the information.
- Check the admission status displayed on your screen.
- If you have been offered admission, carefully follow the instructions provided by FUD.
The official FUD website identifies admission status checking as one of its available admission services.
Important Note
Only use the official FUD website and its linked admission portals when checking your admission.
Do not give your JAMB password, email password or other private login details to somebody who claims that they can “help” you check or upgrade your admission.
How to Check FUD Admission Status on JAMB CAPS
Candidates should also check their admission status through the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
JAMB CAPS is an important part of Nigeria’s admission process and allows candidates to view and respond to admission offers.
To check your FUD admission status through CAPS:
- Visit the official JAMB e-Facility platform.
- Log in with your JAMB details.
- Select Check Admission Status.
- Choose the appropriate examination year.
- Enter your JAMB registration number.
- Click the option to access your CAPS.
- Select Admission Status.
- Check whether FUD has offered you admission.
If you receive an admission offer, carefully read the information displayed before responding.
What Does “Admission in Progress” Mean on JAMB CAPS?
If your JAMB CAPS displays Admission in Progress, it generally means that your admission is still being processed and has not yet reached a final stage on the platform.
Candidates whose status shows this message should continue checking both JAMB CAPS and the FUD admission portal.
You should not pay an individual who claims that they can change “Admission in Progress” to “Admitted.”
What Does “Not Admitted” Mean on JAMB CAPS?
If your JAMB CAPS shows Not Admitted, it means that an admission offer has not been recorded for you at the time you checked.
However, candidates should consider the stage of the admission exercise before drawing conclusions.
If FUD’s admission process is still ongoing, continue monitoring your status and make sure all required information and results have been properly submitted.
What Does “Congratulations, You Have Been Offered Admission” Mean?
If your JAMB CAPS displays a message confirming that you have been offered admission, you should treat it as an important admission update.
Check the details of the offer carefully, including:
- Institution
- Course
- Admission status
- Programme
- Admission year
After confirming the offer, follow the official FUD instructions for acceptance, verification, payment and registration.
FUD Admission List 2026/2027 for UTME Candidates
UTME candidates who applied to Federal University Dutse should regularly monitor their admission status.
The official 2026/2027 FUD screening portal requires candidates to log in using their UTME registration number and state of origin. It also requires candidates to update their biodata and upload their O’Level results.
Candidates should make sure the information submitted during the screening process is accurate.
FUD Direct Entry Admission List 2026/2027
Direct Entry candidates should also monitor their admission status through FUD and JAMB.
The FUD 2026/2027 screening portal specifically provides for UTME and Direct Entry (DE) candidates. DE candidates should ensure that their relevant academic qualifications and other required information have been properly provided during the application process.
If you applied through Direct Entry and your status has not changed, continue checking the official platforms for updates.
FUD First Batch Admission List 2026/2027
Candidates should be careful with claims that the “first batch,” “second batch” or “final batch” FUD admission list has been released.
Universities can update admission statuses in stages, while JAMB CAPS may also update candidates individually.
For this reason, the most reliable way to know whether you personally have been admitted is to check your FUD admission status and JAMB CAPS.
A candidate should not consider an unofficial WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook or blog list as final evidence of admission without confirming the information through the official platforms.
How to Know If FUD Has Offered You Admission
There are several signs that can indicate that your admission has progressed.
You may see an admission offer on:
- FUD admission portal
- JAMB CAPS
- JAMB admission status page
Your admission information may also provide the course or programme into which you have been offered admission.
Once an offer appears, verify the information carefully and follow FUD’s instructions.
What to Do After FUD Offers You Admission
Receiving admission is not the end of the process. Newly admitted students must complete the remaining registration requirements.
1. Confirm Your Admission
First, confirm the admission through FUD and JAMB CAPS.
Make sure the institution and programme displayed correspond with your admission.
2. Accept the Admission on JAMB CAPS
If JAMB CAPS provides an admission offer requiring your response, follow the instructions on the platform.
Do not allow another person to make important admission decisions on your behalf without understanding what is being done.
3. Follow FUD’s Acceptance Procedure
FUD’s official website provides an admission procedure that includes confirming admission, generating an invoice and paying the applicable acceptance fee before proceeding with verification and registration. The currently displayed procedure on the university’s website references the 2025/2026 admission process, so candidates for 2026/2027 should follow the instructions specifically issued for their own session.
4. Complete Verification
After receiving admission, candidates should complete the verification requirements specified by their department and the university.
Keep your original academic documents available.
5. Complete School-Fee Registration
FUD’s official student portal states that school-fee registration should be completed through the university portal. Students generate their payment invoice through the portal and use the approved payment options.
6. Complete Course Registration
After completing the relevant registration requirements, students can proceed to course registration through the official student portal.
The FUD portal advises students to seek guidance from their level coordinators concerning the courses they should register.
FUD Admission Requirements for 2026/2027
Admission requirements vary according to the programme and admission route.
For the 2026/2027 screening exercise, the official FUD portal requires candidates to provide relevant academic information and upload authentic O’Level results. It states that O’Level results should not exceed two sittings, with A’Level results required where applicable.
Candidates should also ensure that their JAMB information is correct.
Programme-specific requirements may be higher for certain courses, particularly competitive or professional programmes.
Meeting a minimum screening requirement does not automatically guarantee admission.
FUD Cut-Off Mark and Admission
Candidates sometimes confuse the cut-off mark with an admission guarantee.
A candidate meeting the minimum screening requirement is eligible to participate in the admission process, but admission depends on the university’s selection process and programme requirements.
For example, reports on FUD’s health-related programmes have previously identified higher programme-specific requirements for some courses. Such figures should always be checked against the current admission notice for the relevant session before being used for 2026/2027 admission decisions.
What If My Name Is Not on the FUD Admission List?
If you cannot find your name on a published FUD admission list, do not immediately assume that you have lost the opportunity.
Instead:
- Check your FUD admission status.
- Check JAMB CAPS.
- Confirm that your JAMB details are correct.
- Confirm that your O’Level results were properly uploaded where required.
- Make sure you completed the required screening process.
- Continue monitoring the official FUD admission portal.
- Follow new instructions released by the university.
Admission information may be updated as the process progresses.
Why Is My FUD Admission Status Still Showing “Not Admitted”?
There can be several reasons why a candidate has not yet received an admission offer.
For example:
- FUD may still be processing admissions.
- Your programme may have limited available spaces.
- Your admission may not yet have been processed on JAMB CAPS.
- Required information may need verification.
- Your application may still be under consideration.
It is better to check the official status and wait for an official update than to rely on assumptions or unofficial claims.
What If FUD Gives Me a Different Course?
A candidate may sometimes receive an offer for a programme different from the one initially expected.
If this happens, carefully check the admission information on FUD and JAMB CAPS.
Do not immediately reject an offer without understanding the consequences. Read the instructions associated with the offer and seek clarification from the appropriate official university or JAMB channel if necessary.
FUD Admission List 2026/2027 and O’Level Results
O’Level results are an important part of the admission process.
The official FUD 2026/2027 screening portal instructs candidates to update their O’Level results and upload genuine and authentic copies of their O’Level/A’Level results where applicable.
Candidates should therefore make sure that the information submitted is accurate.
Do not upload fake or altered certificates.
FUD Admission Portal 2026/2027
The official FUD website provides an admission portal for undergraduate admission activities and includes an option for checking admission status.
Candidates should always start from the university’s official website when looking for the correct admission link.
This helps reduce the risk of entering login information into a fake website.
FUD Admission List 2026/2027: Important Documents to Prepare
Candidates who receive admission should keep their important documents ready.
These may include:
- JAMB result slip
- JAMB admission letter
- O’Level certificate or statement of result
- FUD screening documents
- Birth certificate or declaration of age
- Certificate of origin or relevant identification
- Passport photographs
- FUD admission/confirmation documents
- Direct Entry qualification, where applicable
- Other documents requested by FUD
The exact documents required may vary depending on the candidate’s programme and admission category.
Beware of Fake FUD Admission Lists
Admission periods can attract fraudulent individuals who circulate fake admission lists.
Some may claim that they can:
- Add your name to the admission list.
- Upgrade your JAMB score.
- Change your CAPS status.
- Secure guaranteed admission.
- Obtain admission for a fee.
Candidates should not send money or personal login details to such individuals.
The safest approach is to confirm your admission directly through FUD and JAMB.
