Federal University Otuoke (FUOTUOKE) School Fees for the 2026/2027 academic session is an important topic for prospective students who have applied for admission into the university.
Before paying any fee, candidates should understand that Federal University Otuoke does not necessarily charge the same amount to every student. The total amount can depend on whether the student is a fresher or returning student, the faculty, the programme and the applicable charges for the academic session.
At the time of writing, a separate official undergraduate school-fee schedule for the 2026/2027 academic session has not been independently verified on the FUOTUOKE website. The university’s website does have an official undergraduate schedule of students’ charges for an earlier session, which can be used to understand the structure of the university’s charges, but those older figures should not be presented as confirmed 2026/2027 fees.
This article explains everything prospective students need to know about FUOTUOKE school fees for 2026/2027, including tuition, acceptance fee, freshers’ charges, returning students’ charges, hostel costs, payment procedures and important things to check before making payment.
Is FUOTUOKE School Fees for 2026/2027 Out?
The official 2026/2027 undergraduate school-fee schedule has not been verified as publicly released on the FUOTUOKE website at the time of writing.
This means prospective students should be careful with websites or social-media posts claiming that a particular amount is the confirmed FUOTUOKE school fee for 2026/2027 without providing an official university source.
The latest detailed undergraduate fee document available on the university’s website is an official Schedule of Students Charges for the 2021/2022 Academic Session. It lists different charges for new and returning students and different categories of programmes.
Therefore, the 2021/2022 figures should be regarded only as historical reference figures, not the confirmed 2026/2027 school fees.
How Much Is FUOTUOKE School Fees for 2026/2027?
The exact 2026/2027 FUOTUOKE undergraduate school-fee amount should be confirmed from the university’s current approved fee schedule or the payment invoice generated through the official university portal.
It would be misleading to give one fixed amount as the official 2026/2027 fee when the university’s current detailed undergraduate schedule has not been independently verified.
However, the university’s previously published official schedule shows that FUOTUOKE’s charges are made up of several components rather than simply one tuition payment.
These may include:
- Tuition
- Acceptance fee
- Registration fee
- Examination fee
- Development fee
- Medical charges
- ICT charges
- Library fee
- Sports fee
- Utility charges
- Students’ Union and related dues
- Portal charges
- Laboratory or practical charges
- Matriculation charges
- Other approved university charges
The applicable 2026/2027 amount should be checked against the student’s official payment invoice.
FUOTUOKE School Fees for Freshers
Fresh students usually have more initial charges because they are registering with the university for the first time.
The university’s older official fee schedule for 2021/2022 listed several charges specifically for new 100-level students. These included acceptance, processing, medical/laboratory and X-ray, certificate verification, registration, examination, development, ID card, sports, medical registration, insurance, utility services, caution deposit, GES books/study materials, ICT, library, student handbook, portal and matriculation charges.
For the historical 2021/2022 schedule, the total listed for new students in the faculties of Education, Humanities, Management Sciences and Social Sciences was ₦105,000, while the total for new students in Science, Science Education and Engineering was ₦115,000.
Important: These amounts are from 2021/2022 and should not be used as the confirmed 2026/2027 fees.
FUOTUOKE School Fees for Returning Students
Returning students generally have fewer first-year charges because they have already completed some of the initial registration requirements.
In the university’s 2021/2022 official schedule, returning students in the Faculties of Education, Humanities, Management Sciences and Social Sciences had a listed total of ₦47,500.
Returning students in Science, Science Education and Engineering had a listed total of ₦57,500, with the difference reflecting the applicable laboratory/practical charge.
Again, these are historical figures and should not be described as the 2026/2027 fees.
FUOTUOKE Tuition Fee
One important feature of the older official FUOTUOKE undergraduate schedule is that tuition was listed as free for the categories covered by the schedule.
However, free tuition does not mean that students do not have to pay anything.
Students can still have compulsory charges for university services and other approved requirements.
For example, the older schedule included charges for registration, examinations, development, medical services, ICT, library, utilities, portal services and other items.
Whether the same structure and amounts apply in 2026/2027 should be confirmed from the current university schedule.
FUOTUOKE Acceptance Fee
Acceptance fee is normally associated with newly admitted students and is separate from many of the recurring student charges.
The older official FUOTUOKE undergraduate schedule listed an acceptance fee of ₦30,000 for new students. It also listed a ₦2,000 processing fee, ₦6,000 medical/laboratory and X-ray fee and ₦1,000 certificate-verification fee.
However, this is an old schedule.
Students admitted for 2026/2027 should not assume that ₦30,000 is the current acceptance fee. The current amount should be confirmed through the official FUOTUOKE admission/payment system.
Does FUOTUOKE School Fees Include Acceptance Fee?
Students should not automatically assume that the school-fee figure includes the acceptance fee.
The university’s previous schedule separated acceptance and processing charges from the student charges.
Therefore, when calculating your total admission expenses, check whether the amount displayed on the official payment invoice includes:
- Acceptance fee
- Registration charges
- Medical charges
- Faculty or departmental charges
- Development charges
- ICT charges
- Other approved student charges
This will help prevent unexpected expenses.

FUOTUOKE School Fees for Engineering Students
Engineering students may pay additional charges associated with laboratory and practical activities.
The university’s previous schedule listed a ₦10,000 Science/Engineering Laboratory Practical charge for students in the Science, Science Education and Engineering category.
Because laboratory and practical costs can be revised, prospective Engineering students should wait for the current 2026/2027 schedule or check their official payment invoice.
FUOTUOKE offers Engineering programmes including:
- Chemical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Mechatronic Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Petroleum and Gas Engineering
These programmes are listed by the university among its undergraduate programmes.
FUOTUOKE Nursing School Fees
Nursing Science is one of the undergraduate programmes offered by Federal University Otuoke.
Candidates interested in Nursing should understand that the total amount payable can contain charges beyond tuition.
The university’s official admission information lists B.NSc. Nursing Science among its programmes.
However, a separate verified 2026/2027 Nursing-specific fee schedule has not been identified, so prospective students should not rely on an unofficial fixed amount.
FUOTUOKE Medical Laboratory Science School Fees
Federal University Otuoke also offers Medical Laboratory Science.
The programme is listed as B.MLS Medical Laboratory Science in the university’s undergraduate admission information.
Students should check the official payment schedule for any programme-specific charges applicable to Medical Laboratory Science in 2026/2027.
FUOTUOKE Law School Fees
Law is another undergraduate programme offered by Federal University Otuoke.
The university lists LL.B. Law among its available undergraduate programmes.
The exact 2026/2027 charges for Law should be confirmed from the current official university schedule when available.
FUOTUOKE Hostel Fees
Hostel accommodation should be treated separately from ordinary academic charges unless the university specifically states otherwise.
Students who want to stay in a university hostel should check the official accommodation information and payment instructions.
Do not add an unofficial hostel amount to your school-fee calculation and present the combined figure as an official university fee.
Other Costs FUOTUOKE Students Should Budget For
School fees are only one part of the total cost of attending university.
Students may also need money for:
- Accommodation
- Transportation
- Food
- Textbooks
- Course materials
- Internet/data
- Clothing and personal items
- Medical needs
- Departmental activities
- Practical materials
- Other personal expenses
The amount required will differ from one student to another.
How to Pay FUOTUOKE School Fees
Students should use only the payment method approved by Federal University Otuoke.
The university’s previous official fee schedule instructed students to pay through the school’s approved channel and specifically referenced the university’s eCampus system.
A student should generally:
- Visit the official FUOTUOKE website or student portal.
- Log in with the required details.
- Select the applicable payment.
- Generate the payment invoice or reference.
- Make payment through the approved channel.
- Confirm the payment on the portal.
- Print or save the payment receipt.
- Keep the receipt for registration and future reference.
The exact procedure may change for the 2026/2027 session, so students should follow the latest instructions displayed on the official portal.
Can FUOTUOKE School Fees Be Paid in Installments?
Students should not assume that instalment payment is permitted unless the university officially announces it.
If the official 2026/2027 fee schedule or student portal provides a specific payment structure, students should follow that structure.
Avoid paying an individual who promises to split your fees into instalments or process payment outside the university’s approved channels.
Is FUOTUOKE a Federal University?
Yes. Federal University Otuoke is a federal university located in Otuoke, Bayelsa State.
The university states that it was established by the Federal Government of Nigeria in February 2011 and is located about 21 kilometres south of Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital.
As a federal university, its undergraduate fee structure differs from that of many private universities, and tuition has been listed as free in the university’s published undergraduate schedule.
FUOTUOKE 2026/2027 Admission Screening
Candidates should also understand the relationship between admission and school fees.
FUOTUOKE’s 2025/2026 Post-UTME notice, for example, required eligible UTME candidates to have scored at least 150 and stated that candidates who did not initially choose the university could change their institution through JAMB.
For the 2026/2027 admission process, candidates should use the latest university announcement and JAMB information applicable to their session.
Meeting an admission-screening requirement does not mean that a candidate should pay school fees before receiving a valid admission offer.
When Should I Pay FUOTUOKE School Fees?
Students should pay only after receiving the appropriate instruction from the university and confirming the amount displayed on the official payment platform.
Newly admitted students should first complete the required admission and acceptance procedures where applicable.
Returning students should follow the registration timetable published for their academic session.
The university’s 2025/2026 academic calendar, for example, provided specific dates for the commencement and closing of school-fee payment.
The 2026/2027 timetable may contain different dates.
Important Warning About FUOTUOKE School Fees 2026/2027
Prospective students should be careful when they see an article or social-media post claiming:
“FUOTUOKE school fees for 2026/2027 is exactly ₦XX,XXX.”
A figure should not be treated as confirmed unless it can be traced to the university’s current approved fee schedule or official student portal.
The university’s website currently provides an older official undergraduate fee schedule from 2021/2022, while newer information available on the university website includes admission and academic-session updates.
This distinction matters because university charges can change between academic sessions.
